When and where is the Akuapem Tech Summit 2026?

The Akuapem Tech Summit 2026 takes place on 1 October 2026 at Peduase Valley Resort in Peduase, Eastern Region, Ghana, with expanded virtual participation worldwide.

What is the Akuapem Tech Summit?

It is a regional digital-transformation summit hosted by the Akuapem Technology Secretariat. The theme is “Empowering Okuapeman through technology innovation to bridge the digital divide for sustainable regional development.” It convenes students, innovators, founders, women in tech, policymakers, partners, and the diaspora.

Who organises and owns the Summit?

The Summit is owned and governed by the Akuapem Technology Secretariat (ATS), operating under the cultural authority of the Akuapem Traditional Council, with strategic oversight from a Governing Council of national and international figures.

How do I register for the Summit?

Use the “Register for the Summit” button in the site header or on the homepage. Registration is free and open in several categories: General Attendee, Student/Youth, Startup/Innovator, Media, Sponsor/Partner, Speaker/Facilitator, Volunteer, and Diaspora.

Is there a virtual/online way to attend?

Yes. The Summit is in-person at Peduase Valley Resort with expanded virtual participation, so people across Ghana and the diaspora can take part online.

How can my organisation partner with or sponsor the Summit?

Visit the Partners page and submit a partnership enquiry. There are 5 sponsorship tiers — Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Community / In-Kind. Benefits scale with commitment; pricing is shared in the prospectus on request. All sponsors undergo a due-diligence review.

What are the sponsorship tiers?

The Summit offers 5 tiers: Platinum (Headline partner of the Summit); Gold (Major partner with a dedicated track); Silver (Supporting partner with strong visibility); Bronze (Entry partner backing the mission); Community / In-Kind (Goods, services, or grassroots support).

What is the hackathon and who can enter?

The Summit hackathon turns ideas into working prototypes over the course of the event. Form a team, pick a real Okuapeman challenge (agritech, edtech, fintech, civic tech and more), and build — with mentors on hand and prizes for the strongest teams. All experience levels are welcome; apply on the Hackathon page.

What is the startup showcase?

The startup showcase is where Okuapeman's builders exhibit their products to investors, mentors, and partners. Founders from idea to growth stage can apply to exhibit on the Showcase page.

What is the Akuapem Innovation Hub (“Ghana's Silicon Ridge”)?

It is the Summit's long-term legacy: a permanent regional ecosystem for startup incubation, co-working, technology research, skills training, and mentorship in Okuapeman — nicknamed Ghana's “Silicon Ridge.”

What impact is the Summit projected to have?

Short term: 500+ event jobs and digital-skills training for over 2,000 youth. Medium term: 3,000+ technology-enabled jobs. Long term: a permanent innovation corridor positioning Okuapeman as Ghana's “Silicon Ridge,” with a goal of equipping 10,000 young people with practical digital skills and a minimum 40% female participation.
